Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium (ASEAN Suite)

A year ago, I was reviewing the Executive King Room of the Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium. The 4 star property is located along Havelock road  with an iconic all glass exterior and an impressive interior atrium.

I've booked an Executive King Room for S$180++ per night due to an existing IHG Member promotion. HI SG Atrium is one  of more affordable IHG properties in Singapore, closely located within 5 minutes drive to the Central Business District, Orchard Shopping area and the Clarke Quay night spots.

Upon arrival at the property, I was greeted as an IHG Spire Ambassador and was given an awesome upgrade to the ASEAN Suite with panoramic views of the Singapore skyline.

The ASEAN Suite is located on the second highest floor of the property with a room size of approx 100sqm. The suite is extremely spacious with your private dining and living area, a bar area and kitchenette, all with panoramic views of the Singapore skyline.

The bedroom area has a comfortable king bed, ergonomic workstation and an open concept vanity area and open wardrobe. The bathroom is a little small for my liking but has a combined bath and shower.

Staying in the suites or Executive rooms comes with complimentary Executive Lounge access which includes the below benefits

- All day access to the Executive Lounge with all day refreshments

- Continental breakfast

- Evening cocktail hours and Canapes

The newly renovated Executive Lounge looks modern and refreshing,

The standard of the Executive Lounge's evening cocktails and canapes has improved too! I liked the small finger bites, grilled pineapple with prawn cocktail, Tuna Tataki and smoked fish platter on-top of 3 hot variety.

There is also a small salad bar with cheese platter and a variety of fruits and cakes.

We enjoyed the evening cocktails and the canapes, especially with such a view of the Singapore skyline.

As night falls, I got a little hungry and one great thing about staying in a hotel is the availability of 24 hours room service.

I got myself and my friends a Boston Lobster Laksa and grilled fish. The Laksa was good, the sauce is rich in coconut and has a nice kick to it, the addition of quail eggs adds a different twist to it. The boston lobster was normal.

The grilled dory fish was good, crispy on the outside but the white sauce was bland and not appetising.

Next Morning, I woke earlier to catch a nice shot of the morning sunrise.

We headed towards the Atrium restaurant for the international buffet breakfast, The spread was huge, with your usual continental break plus local delicacies, full salad buffet, plenty of bread and cornflake choices including a live omelette station.

We made use of the welcome drinks voucher presented to elite IHG members for a drink at the lobby bar during the late afternoon before checking out at 4pm.
