Day 3 - Burj Khalifa & Burj Khalifa Lake
The Beautiful Burj Khalifa and the surrounding lake, which is also the end point of the Dubai Creek. Home to the Armani hotels, numerous corporate suites, restaurants and 2 observatory deck, this mega skyscraper is the tallest building in the world.
We arrived earlier in the evening to visit the Dubai Fountain & man made lake surrounding the tower. It was a beautiful evening and we begun our photo-taking buffet.
As the sun starts to sun, we went to catch the synchronised water performance at the Dubai Fountain. There was a huge crowd congregating at the fountain as its located in the midpoint of the row of restaurants, Dubai mall, the Address hotel & service apartments and the Burj Khalifa.
We headed towards the row of restaurants opposite the Dubai Mall and decided to have Egyptian food at a restaurant on the second level.
We ordered a serving of hummus, spinach samosa and grilled lamb chops. The lamb chop was delicious but the rest were not suitable for our palate. The hummus felt too creamy and did not like the spinach as they felt frozen.
As the night falls after we finished our dinner, we returned to the lake to take a long exposure shot of the Burj Khalifa.
With a building this high, this was the maximum I could go with minimal compromise on distortion.
A beauty to behold, the Burj Khalifa.
