Holiday Inn Resort Batam (2 Bedroom Suite)

Holiday Inn Batam is my preferred choice of accommodation whenever I visit batam. I first visited this property 15 years ago as a child and have been returning to this property for its consistent service, well maintained rooms and its reservations department providing me a seamless service by assisting with not just my hotel booking but also my ferry & transfers.

I returned to this property on a 2 night stay in its 2 bedroom deluxe apartment at an very affordable rate at approx SGD 180 per night inclusive of international breakfast. This turns out to be $45 per pax per night.

The driver was already at the ferry terminal waiting for my group when we cleared immigrations, we reached the hotel from Sekupang ferry terminal in approx 30 minutes. Check-In was swift and efficient, I was greeted as a Platinum was given a welcome drink voucher + a lucky draw which I got a gift from Tea Tree Spa.

I was given the keycard to our room, located on block 3 on the 3rd floor with views of the pool (just as I wanted!). We were escorted by the friendly front desk officer to our apartment building past the lovely pool and straw houses.

The 2 bedroom apartment is spacious with a separate living and dining room and guest bathroom with separate shower. There is an adjoined twin bedroom and a master bedroom with a king bed and ensuite bathroom with a deep soaking tub. There is also a balcony with a wooden chair and table overlooking the pool and straw houses.

During the evening, I went around to take some photos of the hotel premise and its facilities. The Holiday Inn Batam has a gym, great in-house spa with individual rooms and couple villas, a sports bar, karaoke lounge, Japanese Teppanyaki by the pool. I could just spend 2 days here without moving out!

We woke up the next morning to a great morning with awesome sunshine. It was just a joy in life to take a dip in the landscape pool before enjoying the international buffet spread at the terrace cafe.

After breakfast, we took a stroll to the park and lazed at the benches under the sun.

We also spent some time at the sports bar with some drinks and a game of pool. Before we know it, it was time to check out and we could feel the tinge of sadness of leaving this little getaway but at least we knew it is a 1 hour ferry ride away from Singapore.

Another enjoyable stay, looking forward to my return stay in Holiday Inn Batam in November 2015. It is great seeing familiar faces every time you return to a property, that means they take good care of their staff.
