We took an emirates flight to dubai as it was the cheapest alternative combined with an ongoing Citibank promotion. The fare was S$740.00 for a two way economy fare.

The near 7hr flight details were

EK353 - Departing Flight

Departs : Singapore Changi International Airport Terminal 1, 0950hrs

Arrive : Dubai International Airport Terminal 3, 1400hrs

EK352 - Return Flight

Departs : Dubai International Airport Terminal 3, 2115hrs

Arrive : Singapore Changi International Airport Terminal 1, 0850hrs

We opt for the online check in option and we were cleared relatively fast. There were not much guests at the counter.

After clearing immigration, we spotted our Boeing 777 Emirates jet from afar as it was taxi-ed at its gate.

Our flight departed as usual and we started to tune to our onflight entertainment services. There were a great variety of movies, enough to keep me entertained for the entire flight. An hour or so into the flight, we were given our lunch menu. I opt for roast chicken and lunch was served promptly.

As we were at cruising altitude, I lifted my window cap and caught the clear blue skies beyond the horizon

I looked towards the back and the flight was relatively empty, I could count the number of passengers in my cabin. It was great because we were given quite nice care by the stewards/stewardess.

I was served dessert, a cuppuccino mousse. Hours later, an hour towards our destination, we were served a chocolate bar and another bottle of merlot.

The captain announced that we are approaching our destination and preparations are made for the descent. As we peered out of the window, we could see the sandy desert, afterwhich the Arabian Gulf. 

We landed safely at our destination. the land of Dubai.

Our limo arranged by Crowne Plaza Deira was at the gate waiting for us after we cleared immigration and took our baggage. We have arrived at Dubai and a 30 minutes drive away to our hotel.
