We were brought to our hotel by our limo driver and swiftly ushered to the IHG Priority queue. I have booked this 3 night stay on IHG rewards night. Having elite status with a hotel program also grants special treatment, was pleased to be upgraded from a standard room to twin club room with club lounge access at no additional charge.

The hotel looks a little aged from the outside but the lobby looks nice with its silver round pillars.The lobby also houses the lobby bar and the gastronomic restaurant which serves  international buffet breakfast during the morning for hotel guests.

This property is located at Deira and is a short 5 minutes walk to the nearest train station

The twin bedded club room is located on the same floor with the swimming pool. The room looks normal and had sufficient space for us to place our luggage and walk around.

The room comes with 2 single seat sofa, plenty of drawers and a study table with ergonomic chair. Sufficient for a business traveller.

The bathroom comes with a S shaped deep soaking tub and surprisingly a separate urinal. A fixture that I have yet to see in my recent hotel stays. 

I could not identify with the toiletries brand used in this property and hence guessed it should be an inhouse product. The product quality is average and I thought could be better. 

During the evening when we returned, we went over to the executive club lounge to sip a glass of wine, plan our next day's itinerary and relax with some canapés. 

There was a wide evening cocktail selection from warm food to desserts, cheese platter, nuts and usual selection of alcohol. This could serve as a light dinner!

Considering that we did not have much space to sit and relax at the room, the lounge offers a great alternative to just catch a breather, all the more better when they serve all day complimentary beverages (from hot coffee to your ice cold ginger ale)

Not forgetting the awesome service by the club lounge staffs, Gina and Darya.

Breakfast are also served at the evening lounge. The continental breakfast spread consist of 5 hot dishes with a fruit platter, cereal bar and bread basket served buffet style.

The spread was reasonable and good enough for us to get filled and start our morning.

The hotel also featured an outdoor swimming pool and pool bar which has a view of the Burj Khalifa during the night. There were occasional sounds of the passing train due to the proximity of the train station however nothing beats having a soak in the pool after a long day out.

During my last night, I took to the lobby bar to have a beer as I could not fall asleep. Was pleasantly surprised to find Foster's beer, a beer which rarely features in Singapore. 

There was also a live band which has a pretty good singer.

It has been a great 3 night stay at Crowne Plaza Dubai Deira, the awesome service, great service from the front desk service staff to the executive lounge staff and facilities crew. It made my stay a truly enjoyable one.
