Jatiluwih Rice Terraces

During my Bali trip, I took a day off with my Driver, Mr Made, to visit the beautiful Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. It is a 30-45 minutes drive from the Holiday Inn Express Bali Raya Kuta.
I know its a usual touristy place to visit and definitely there are many nicer padi places around, however to see the sheer size of the padi fields and the beautiful mountainous terrain is unique in its own way.

More onto Jatiluwih, it is appointed as one of the UNESCO world heritage sites due to the usage of a traditional water irrigation system and its beautiful views. Jatiluwih is also famous amongst the local for traditional rituals, religious ceremonies and celebrations. Other than that, it is famous amongst tourist as a must see place to visit when they are in Bali.

After spending about an hour or so at the property taking some close up shots of the Paddy files and beautiful flowers, we head north towards the Pura Ulun Danu Bratan temple, located at the North-Central Bali amidst a natural reservoir of water.
