HIX Singapore Clarke Quay - Deluxe Queen - Jeremy Lee's Travel & Photography

Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay

One of the most beautiful and newest Holiday Inn Express in South East Asia, this is my return stay to the property after my first review here. It was great to return to this property, located conveniently along the Clarke Quay riverside, its just a short walk to many entertainment and dining options.

I was allocated the same Standard Queen Room for my return stay. Part of the weekend package includes free breakfast, wifi, parking, a bottle of sparkling wine & late check-out at 3pm, a great option for travellers who needs that extra hours in the room. IHG Platinums get the option of a 4pm late check out, be sure to request for this during registration as the property is quite popular.

Check-In was efficient and I was attended to with registration processes completed within 10 minutes. Before I knew it, I was in my room.

The interior of the building is beautiful, with much attention given to natural lighting and environmental friendliness which earns a thumbs up from me.

This property has only 2 room types, the standard twin and standard queen. It would be great if they had a suite class like the HIX Bali Raya Kuta

The Queen room was slightly small but what you would expect from a HIX. It is comfortable, simple and has everything you need. One great thing about this room is the heavenly rainfall shower in its bathroom.

It was happy to realise that the sparking wine is already placed in the room prior to my arrival.

One can't just stay in the room when staying in this property. This property have a great rooftop infinity pool and a open air gym with seating area and rooftop gardens at the Roof Floor.

We made it upstairs for a jog and a lap in the pool whilst enjoying the not so sunny weather which was great as I missed my sunscreen lotion.

The night was bad with heavy rains and thunderstorms throughout the city which was unfortunate as I wanted to take some night shots of the property. We woke the next stay and decided to catch lunch at the nearby Clarke Quay which is just a short 5 minutes walk away.

It was a great weekend staycation. The only drawback was the lack of a dedicated bath amenity but what they offered is in accordance to brand standards so I brought my own L'Occitane bath products from Intercontinental Hua Hin.

The property have recently revised their rewards night redemption from 20,000 to 25,000 points which is still pretty decent redemption rates for Singapore. Considering that the other HIX in orchard is 30,000 points, I would rather stay at this beautiful property.

This stay is sponsored by Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay though all views expressed above are my own.
