Holiday Inn Orchard City Centre

I visited Holiday Inn Orchard City Centre earlier this year to redeem my 25% voucher from the IHG Dining Rewards program. I booked the premium room and was gladly given a 2 category upgrade to the Junior Suite with club access! It was exceptionally pleasing to note that the hotel management still remember me from my last stay 2 years back.
The festive decor from CNY was still around during my stay in February.

The check in was swift & efficient. I was pleased to be offered 2 complimentary drinks voucher as a IHG Platinum and also a letter describing the benefits for guests staying on the executive floor.

Within minutes, I got my room keys and was walked to my room by Michelle from the front desk.

The Junior Suite is located at the corner of the building, beside the Deluxe Suites. The room is slightly shaped like an arrow head. The room is carpeted and comes with floor to ceiling windows offering views of the Istana gardens and CTE.

Turning right after opening the door leads to a T shaped room with the TV infront of you. Turn left for the bed and the study table, turn right for the sofa and sitting area.

The bathroom came with combined bath and shower. The bath was of decent size, marble flooring and wall decor, similar to the one in Holiday Inn Batam

Later that evening, we went over to the club lounge for evening cocktails and canapés

I loved the CNY table decors.

The evening cocktail spread was sumptuous, consistently better than the other HI Atrium. There were sushi spread, nachos and dip, salad bar, cheese platter, bread & buns, pasta, indian samosas and chinese five spices roll.

Nothing can go wrong with great company, wine and food. As such, I helped myself to couple of more servings.

Last but not least, there were also dessert spread such as fruits, pastries and puddings.

As the sun sets, the club lounge staff recommended us to take a dip in the rooftop jacuzzi tub. The rooftop has not just the jacuzzi but also 2 swimming pool and a inhouse gym.

We decided against having a swim take a walk around the orchard and somerset area which are a stone throw away.
It was near 11 when we returned. We redeemed 2 drinks with our welcome voucher at the lobby bar and took advantage of the 25% dining rewards discount by ordering some bites.

After my drinks accompanied by lovely singing by the live band ended, I went around to take some long exposure shots of the hotel's entrance, fascade, lobby and its interior.

Good Night Singapore~

Good Morning!

I was woken by the shining rays of the sun and the rumbling of my tummy. After a hot shower, Im on my way for breakfast at the lounge! No better to start your morning with cereals and fresh juices.

I am a big fan of berries, whenever a hotel offers fresh blueberries and strawberries for breakfast, they have half the battle won in winning me over. The breakfast spread in the lounge was of good quality, there were smoked salmon, braised salmon, berries and cold cuts, made to order pancakes and eggs station.

Burps. After my breakfast, I ordered a cuppa and just rest my head on the cushioned sofa. I leaned backwards and look up to the roof. What a sight.

I made full use of my 4pm late check out as a IHG Platinum. We had a very happy conversation with the club lounge manager Michelle and before we knew it, it was time to check out. I had a great stay at Holiday Inn Orchard Centre and looking forward to more weekend staycations with IHG.
