DoubleTree By Hilton Kuala Lumpur (Terrace Suite)

My return stay to the beautiful  DoubleTree By Hilton Kuala Lumpur. Previously, I have reviewed the Executive King Room and found the property to be of great value in Kuala Lumpur. With Hilton HHonors points redemption rate at 10k/night, this is one of the best category 2 property in South East Asia!

I arrived at the property at 2pm and was greeted by the Front Desk Manager as a Hilton Diamond member and was briefed through my Diamond benefits. Check-In was efficient and was completed within 10 minutes.

I'm staying at one of the 5 Terrace Suites with spacious private terraces overlooking the beautiful Kuala Lumpur city skyline. The Terrace Suite which I'm staying comes with a living area with sofa and workstation. An outdoor balcony with cosy tables and chairs with view of the Petronas Twin Tower.

The living room is connected to the bedroom with views of the mountains and hills to the north-east of Kuala Lumpur. My favourite has to be the spacious bathroom, with deep soaking tub, rainfall shower, an expansive vanity area and luxurious toiletries from Aroma Active Essentials.

I was pretty pleased to receive a welcome letter from the Hotel Management, a welcome fruits platter and also a platter of local biscuits & delicacies.

Staying at the Suites comes with Executive Floor benefits, including private check-in, access to the Executive Lounge located on the 34th floor offering panoramic views of the Petronas Twin Tower and Genting Highlands.

I love staying on the Executive Floors as that means, you get complimentary breakfast, all day beverages, afternoon snacks and evening cocktails & canapés whilst admiring the beautiful sunset view.

The sunset view from the room was as good as the Executive Lounge. The dinner which I had via room service, local stir fried Mee Mamak, was pretty delicious too, except a tad sweet for my liking.

I woke up early next morning, not for breakfast, but to catch the awesome sunrise from the Genting Highlands.

Catch my Sunrise Timelapse video on the right. There are more timelapse videos on my youtube channel.

The sunrise was simply gorgeous, so much so that I stayed at the private outdoor terraces for 2 hours snapping away and relaxing at the cosy sofas.

After 2 hours of snapping away, its time to head downstairs to recharge my batteries at Makan Kitchen!

Freshly made Pratas? Fresh Fruits and Salad? Continental Spread? Noodles Station? You want it, they have it! On top of that, they even have a Instagram Photo area!

The property is home to five restaurant and bars which will appeal to almost every palate and dining experience. Tosca which serves delicious Italian cuisine is located just beside the pool. There is also the Cellar Door which houses a variety of international wines. Drinks at the Axis Lounge on the lobby level or a grab a can of cookies or a soft toy inspired by their signature cookies from the Food Store.

With such luxurious accommodation, amazing views, great service and delicious F&B offerings, it is not hard to see why I keep returning to DoubleTree By Hilton Kuala Lumpur when visiting Kuala Lumpur!
