Earlier in 2015, I made my first trip to Bali, Indonesia and spent the first 2 nights of my trip at the affordable & cosy Holiday Inn Express Bali Raya Kuta. This time round, during my return trip, I have returned once again to the same property and was glad to see many familiar faces, including the General Manager, Mr Sukrajaya. 

The select service Holiday Inn Express Bali Raya Kuta is located at the border of Kuta area, a near 800 meter walk to Legian/Kuta beachfront and just a 20 minutes taxi ride from the Airport!

It is also one of the HIX properties which offers a Suite option, hence Spire Elite & Platinum Elite members can look forward to a space available upgrade to the suite rooms if you book a standard room. 

The well appointed 42 sqm Queen Bed Suites is a cosy option for families and couples who enjoys additional space. The Suite has its own living and dining area, equipped with a microwave and LCD TV plus balcony. The open concept bedroom has a queen sized bed, a regular sized workstation and LCD TV.

For me, the choice of a suite room even if I am not upgraded is a reasonable choice to make. With a price difference of approx USD30++ per night for all the additional space, why not?

How does it feel having an ensuite bathroom with separate deep soaking tub and rainfall shower in a Holiday Inn Express? Pretty Awesome!

Next morning, before I head out with my local driver, I went over to the Great Room for our complimentary buffet breakfast. The breakfast is not fantastic, definitely given the price I paid for the room and it being a HIX. However the spread is decent and with several hot options, surely would be suffice to provide me with the necessary energy to last the next few hours.

A great select-service property for people who wants a clean room with complimentary breakfast and good service. Having returned for the second time, looking forward to more returns in future!
