Grand Palace Restaurant @ Pavilion Mall Kuala Lumpur

During my trip to Kuala Lumpur, I was recommended to try out the dimsum at Grand Palace Restaurant located within the Pavilion Mall.
I arrived at the restaurant approx 1pm on a weekday and the restaurant was close to full but at least there was no queuing required (unlike during the weekends)The dimsum selection is wide and were reasonably priced, with items going from RM5.90 which is S$2.00!
We start off the meal with a tea order of Ju Pu, or also known as a blend of Chrysanthemum and Pu-Er tea.

We ordered a range of staple dimsum selections such as Har Gao (RM7.90), Xiao Long Bao (RM6.90), Steamed Chicken Feet (RM5.90), Beancurd Skin Roll with Prawns (RM8.80) and their signature Jumbo Prawn Dumplings with noodle (RM12.90)
The prawns in the Har Gao is big and succulent, served freshly steamed and hot!
I ordered an additional serving of premium fish maw soup. Its too starchy for my liking for the fish maw is well cooked and seasoned.

I thoroughly enjoyed the prawn dumpling noodles, the noodles has a nice bite and texture, drizzled with a rich oyster soy sauce.
The prawn dumpling is filled with black fungus, dried sole fish, minced pork, prawns and chestnut.
I did not really enjoy the fried beancurd skin roll, it was oily and had plenty of minced pork and lard as compared to prawn bits.
Overall, it was a great affordable place to get reasonably priced dimsum of a decent quality. I personally still go to Chynna @ Hilton Kuala Lumpur for my dimsum fix but its 3 times more pricey then this place.
