Crowne Plaza Changi Airport (Business Room)

Crowne Plaza Changi Airport is one of the favourites amongst airport hotels and amongst staycationers in Singapore for its modern, beautiful rooms and that gorgeous landscaped pool.

This has to be my fifth return stay to the hotel ever since my first review in 2014, my latest review of the Club King Suite was published at the end of 2016.

This time, I got the opportunity to review the beautiful, well-appointed business rooms located in a new wing of the Hotel that was launched in August 2016 that increased the overall rooms to 563! (Woah!) The new wing offers a view choice of either the original Crowne Plaza building or the new upcoming Jewel Changi Airport that would be completed in 2 years time. I manage to get a shot of the Jewel in construction from my room.

The beautiful Business Rooms are narrower and longer in nature, one thing was that it definitely does not feel like a room which is 28sqm. The Business room features an extremely comfortable King sized bed, a marble top workstation with an ergonomic chair, a sofa area for those who prefer to chill instead.

A mini bar plus wardrobe area and not forgetting that spacious ensuite bathroom with luxurious rainfall shower and deep soaking tub with views and the privacy function to freeze the window panes.

The welcome amenity for Spire Elites includes a late checkout, exclusive breakfast area and a welcome fruit platter.

During the afternoon, I visited the lobby lounge that is featuring a berries theme afternoon tea that goes for $48++ for two. The lounge area eludes a nice charm, maybe due to the natural light wood chairs and sofa, not forgetting the natural lights that brighten up the whole venue.

For those who prefers a more exclusive affair may decide to take up the Club Benefits at a top-up which you may request a quote upon check-in and enjoy all day free flow coffee, tea, juices and soft drinks at the private Club Lounge overseeing the Airport Control Tower and the swimming pool area.

As part of the club lounge benefits also include free flow alcoholic beverages and evening canapes from 6.00pm to 8.00pm. You may also request for a special cocktail from the club lounge staff who would be more than willing to mix up a special blend for you depending on your preference.

I, however, decided to head to Azur Restaurant for their dinner buffet that features a fine seafood on ice, two distinct rows of food, featuring western and Asian cuisines respectively, not forgetting trays and rows of delicate desserts including a towering milk chocolate fondue.

Check on the right picture for the extensive write up of my dinner experience at the Azur Restaurant.

Next morning, I woke up and took a swim at the beautiful swimming pool beside the Club Lounge for half an hour before heading towards Azur for breakfast.

There was a wide selection of delicacies for breakfast, I enjoyed the ee-fu noodles with black pepper fish and dim sum. There was also congee with dough sticks which is my all-time favourite breakfast dish.

I like the quality of the cold cuts and sausages that were served.

All in all, it was a great stay experience at the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, I could see myself returning for another enjoyable stay in time to come with the Business Rooms going for $165++ per night in June-July period. Definitely a choice for a weekend staycation!
