Man Fu Yuan @ InterContinental Singapore
Man Fu Yuan has always been one of my preferred Chinese restaurant in Singapore, they serve reasonably and good quality dimsum with great service. The other reason had to be that I have been a frequent patron of this restaurant since I was in primary school.
During my stay at the InterContinental Singapore, I visited the restaurant as per usual for their dimsum. I ordered my usual Chrysanthemum & Pu-Er tea blend followed by their opening appetiser, chilled chicken and wolf berry on a bed of fresh orange.
We had a variety of dimsum such as the usual Har Gao, Steamed Beancurd Skin roll in superior sauce and also some more unique dishes such as the deep fried sugarcane roll with prawns and scallop fillings and my all time favourite, the Chilli Crab bun. The chilli crab bun is filled with sizeable chunks of sweet crab meat in a sweet & spicy chili crab sauce that comes with a nice spicy punch.
We also tried an off-menu selection of the fresh prawns crispy noodles and braised lobster ee-fu noodles. Personally I felt that the sauce lack a oomph to it and preferred the version at Xin Cuisine, Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium.
Nevertheless, we ended off on the high with a smooth and sweet mango dessert.
