Atrium Restaurant @ Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium
Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium completed a property wise renovation to its rooms in 2015-2016 and also rebranded their in-house restaurant Melting Pot to the Atrium Restaurant.
I've visited the Melting Pot restaurant twice prior to renovation and left twice as an unhappy guest. The food quality was not up to par and it was definitely not a dining option which I would want to return.
However, the newly renovated Atrium Restaurant was much better as compared to the Melting Pot. I've returned for quite a few times for their buffet spread and there was a marked improvement in food offering and quality too.
The seafood feast is starts at $90++ per pax with an ongoing 1 for 1 promotion. So bring a friend along and enjoy the feast for only $45++ per person!
The food spread is pretty good, with a wide selection of seafood on ice from lobsters to red crab, half shell scallops, mussels, and clams. I enjoyed the sushi platter and my dad loved the fine bread selection and DIY salad bar with fresh garden greens.
Look forward to appetizers such as marinated chicken salad to seasoned jellyfish and cured meats too!
There was also a live satay station during my visit which serves freshly barbecued chicken and mutton satay. Top it up with their rich peanut sauce and freshly sliced onions for an extra punch.
Besides the usual buffet selection, there was also a roast meat station serving roast pork, chicken, and duck. However, I've just got news that Atrium Restaurant has been awarded their Halal certification, hence roast pork and other pork dishes would not be available from their buffets moving forward.
One thing which I enjoy the most about buffets is the flexibility which you get in mixing the different flavors and dishes which are offered, for example, I self-concocted my own Boston lobster laksa and papadum with curry chicken.
They are currently running a Ramadan special with the Signature Seafood Extravaganza with lobster Biryani, Tandoori Lobster, and a live outdoor BBQ station. Definitely would be looking forward to breaking fast with some of my Muslim friends at the restaurant soon!
