The Mira Hong Kong
During my trip to Hong Kong, I stayed in the beautiful 5 star The Mira Hong Kong Hotel which is located right smack in the middle of Tsim Sha Tsui, in the midpoint of 2 MTR stations, Jordan and Tsim Sha Tsui respectively. It is within walking distance to popular destinations such as the Harbour City, Avenue of Stars and Star Ferry Pier.
The Mira Hong Kong is part of the Design Hotels collection which participates in the Starwood Preferred Guest hotel loyalty program. As one of the 280 carefully selected hotel worldwide, The Mira Hong Kong features a colourful and contemporary lobby with 492 delicately designed rooms and suites with refined textures, colour themes, in-room technology, and luxurious interiors.
I arrived at the property at 12 noon, definitely earlier than the usual check-in time but was glad to find that my room is ready for me. I booked a Superior room and received a nice upgrade to the Parkview room
The well-appointed 27sqm Parkview rooms offer views of the neighbouring Kowloon Park. My Parkview room was a twin-bed configuration and frankly, the beds were very comfortable.
The room design was trendy, stylish yet smart, we have many smart spaces, such as a laptop sized safety box with internal charger, a Bose IPod docking machine, pocket WIFI device with unlimited 4G connectivity which is an awesome add-on to our traveller's 4G package.
I am in love with the bathroom, with luxurious rainfall shower and a deep soaking tub with marble flooring, it has all that I wish. The spacious vanity area offers all you require such as your vanity kit, toothbrush, comb, assorted towels and many more.
I was pleasantly surprised to receive a generous welcome amenity which is inclusive of a mini snacks platter with berries and macaroons, two bottled of fresh juices and 2 packets of local rice snack.
Breakfast starts at 6.30am at Yamm, which is located at the hotel lobby which offers an international buffet breakfast.
I found the spread to be pretty good, with a good blend of continental spread such as cured eat, cheese spread, pastries and usual staple such as baked beans, bacon, ham and toasts. It also offers a good variety of local food such as dimsum and stir fry.
As much as I enjoy the spread of the breakfast, I felt that there are much more local delights to be explored on the streets of Hong Kong.
Hong Kong has been an adventure for me, staying at The Mira Hong Kong offers me not just accessibility but the confidence that I will be recluding to the comfort of my room. Definitely, a hotel which I will return to whenever I am looking for a nice luxurious stay at a reasonable price in Hong Kong.
