During my stay at the Deluxe Suite of the InterContinental Saigon, I had access to the Club InterContinental which grants me exclusive benefits such entry to the exclusive Club InterContinental Lounge with an private check-in area, welcome drink, all day beverages, afternoon tea and evening cocktail and canapes.

A week prior to my stay, a member of the Club InterContinental team contacted me to assist in a hassle free check in experience and also to follow up on any special requests that I may have. I was glad to have my and my parents room ready at the time we arrived at the hotel (12noon) and late check out for both rooms were accommodated. As usual, we were ushered to a table at the club lounge whilst the guest associate arranged the check in formalities,

I enjoyed the welcome gesture, a set of cold towel and drink which is a nice cool lemongrass beverage, refreshing indeed.

The Club Lounge is sizeable, it is able to accommodate comfortably 50 guests without being overwhelmed. There is a meeting room which business travelers may book, the main dining area, a separate lounge area with long sofas and also a slightly more private reading area with books and single seat sofas.

I took some shots of the lounge during the night, just minutes before they were to close for the day.

We returned to the Club InterContinental Lounge in the afternoon for their afternoon tea set. 

A simple yet satisfying 3 tier afternoon tea set with your choice of any tea, coffee, freshly squeezed juices, mocktails or soft drinks. 

There were much more sweet treats as compared to savory bites, you have your usual warm scones with fresh cream and jam, ham and cheese buns and cheesecakes. There were a few unusual additions such as crab meat mayonnaise sandwich, chocolate moose (not to my liking) and macarons (too sweet for my liking too)

Evening cocktails and canapes hour were a more lively affair, we were one of the few tables present during afternoon tea, however during the evening, the lounge was near to full house.

We did not stay long during the evening cocktail hours, mainly just to check out the spread, grab one or two small bites, a drink before heading out to explore the nightlife, street food, evening markets as night falls.

Breakfast is a much more exclusive affair with a continental buffet spread and made of order selection of local and usual breakfast favorites. 

One of the simple pleasures which we had during our breakfast at the club lounge was the made to order Pho (Choice of chicken or beef) with also other selections such as your usual eggs, waffles, pancakes and breakfast favourites.

I love to pair my breakfast with fresh juices and the club lounge offers a range of freshly squeeze juice, from orange to watermelon, they are sweet and refreshing, just the way I would want to kick start my morning.

The hotel stay itself is awesome, coupled with the pampering and luxurious Club InterContinental experience, I could not wait for my next stay with InterContinental Hotel and Resorts.
