Day 2 - Kuta & Dinner

We left the Tirta Empul temple onwards to Kuta Beach which was an hour journey via car. We arrived at the place with a setting sun across onto the sea.
Kuta beach was filled with activities, there were families strolling to the nearby shopping mall. We spotted this family having fun with kite flying at the bay.

Kuta beach stretches far beyond the shoreline and is incredibly shallow. The light gradient slope offers great view of the waves.

I went down the breakwater onto the shore to experience the sound of the crashing waves first hand.

We took a stroll to the main shopping mall along Kuta Beach, Discovery shopping mall. There are many shops and eateries at the mall. just the right place to catch dinner and admire the setting sun.

2nd day at bali and Im still craving for indonesian food. We decide to dine at Dulang Beachfront Cafe, which is house at the alfresco dining area of Discovery Shopping Mall.

The restaurant looked simple and cosy. We settled for the outdoor seats and ordered a lemongrass tea to cool ourselves down from the walk.

The sun sets, creating a beautiful scenery and shades of orange in the sky as our dinner were being served.

It was a good dinner, I finally had a taste of ikan bakar (grilled fish with black soy sauce) which was thoroughly enjoyed. The other black bean paste with sliced fish and fisherman basket were disappointing.
Ikan Bakar

After dinner, we bought some local souvenirs from the shop in the mall before making our way back to the hotel for a good rest in preparation for the trip down to south bali next morning.
