Day 4 - The Dam & Waterfall @ Sunshine Coast

During our last day at Sunshine Coast, we took a drive inwards, towards the scenic Wappa Dam. Wappa Dam is a concrete dam built as one of the main water supply for the Sunshine coast region. It was a 30 minutes drive from our AirBnb @ Jones Parade.

The Dam is home to several eco-system including a park where locals come for a stroll or even a picnic. As it was nearing Autumn, leaves have turned to reddish orange and fallen onto the grass field.

We saw termites for the first time and also a quacking duck family.

After spending some time at the park, we drove downstream towards the other end of Wappa Dam which is also a famous local attraction, the Wappa Falls. Locals gather here during the weekend for a swim and gathering around the rocky cliff formations.

Adventurers may also jump off the cliff into the waters below.

After the falls, we embark on a 2 hours drive south, towards the Brisbane, our service apartment, the Meriton @ Brisbane Queens Street.

Along the journey, we spotted a diagonal line across the sky which separates the clouds and the eventual blue skies. It was something quite extraordinary in my opinion.
