KLM Business Class (DPS-SIN)

During my trip to Bali, I booked an 2 way economy flight for SGD 129 nett and during my return trip, I was offered an upgrade upon check-in to Business Class for SGD 100 and I gladly did so.

I was offered a seat on 2A with access to the business class lounge that offers all day beverages and also light snacks, in addition, priority check-in and priority baggage.

After a short chill at the lounge, I went to the boarding gate whilst waiting for the flight to commence boarding. As part of the first few to be welcomed onboard, I had the opportunity to take an empty business class section whilst being greeted onboard by the Captain himself.

The Business Class seats are configured with a 2-3-2 seating configuration and glad to say,  I have plenty of leg room and it is more then suffice to rest my feet and also house my Thule Backpack.

As we prepare to takeoff, I was offered my a glass of champagne as I admired the night sky of Bali whilst ascending towards the sky. The safety video was entertaining and it was a frame by frame animation which featured 1,000 specially drawn tiles.

We were served our 3 course meal shortly. I had the Rosemary Chicken Tikka salad as my Appetiser. For my main course, I chose the baked herb crusted snapper served with tomato saffron sauce, snow peas, carrots and steamed parslied potatoes. We had a chocolate coffee-pear pound cake with caramel anglaise for our desserts.

The chicken tikka salad was great, full of flavour and the chicken was surprisingly tender. I totally loved the main course, the herb crusted snapper was juicy and the potatoes are the beauty, it just falls apart (like soft crumbles) into your mouth as I bit into it.

Ready for Dinner!

After our meal, we were served a choice of tea or coffee with chocolates. As a business class guest, I was given a unique gift, a Delft blue miniature traditional dutch house, filled with dutch gin which depicts a real house in the Netherlands!

All in all, it was a great business class experience for myself and even the more happier to see my baggage being the 3rd bag on the baggage collection aisle. Definitely would be looking to fly KLM for my future trips to Bali and with hope that the new World Business Class would be retrofitted on future airplanes flying this route
