Singapore - My Homeland

2015 is a special year for Singapore, the year where we turn 50 and celebrations started to pour in throughout the island state.

Since the start of the year, I always wanted to do a post about Singapore, and its with the saying of "The end is the start of a new beginning" that I decide to post my photo montage of Singapore on the last week of the year to welcome the new 2016.

I shall start the post with a few black/white photos of some places where never changed as time fly us by. This will be followed by a few photos of modern day Singapore.

Majulah Singapura!

Singapore is a garden city, we all live in lush greenery and beautiful parks. I grew up in Jurong and we have one big park here, the Chinese & Japanese Gardens.

It's a beauty, waking in the morning to take these shots whilst basking in the fresh oxygen. A simple enjoyment of life.

Life starts from water and our economy was born via Singapore River.

As bumboats and Go-down warehouses transform to tourist boats and eateries, our country progressed as a colony of a foreign power to a self governed metropolitan city.

Below are some pictures taken of certain places, which has a special place in my heart.

50 years ago, beyond the Padang was the sea, today, its a reservoir and beyond the reservoir is a 5 star hotel with a convention hall & casino.

Lets appreciate the beautiful sunset and bid goodnight to our beautiful city. Let's look forward to a better 2016.
